Annie – Senior 2011

I’m finally getting around to updating this a bit, with some not-so-new images.  These are from Annie‘s session last September.  But since I started this blog late last year, these were never shown here.  Annie is a very sweet cheerful gal!  She is a member of FCCLA (Family Career Community Leaders of America) and is the captain of the cheerleading squad.

We had a good time on her shoot, using several different locations in this beautiful valley in which we live.  The scenic backgrounds here are gorgeous!  We were very blessed to have a beautiful sunset as well.  I hope you enjoy these images!

Lance – Senior 2011

Lance wanted some shots with his dog, Lucky.

Lighting on this one was all natural.

I used 4 layers in post processing. I’ve been experimenting with some post processing techniques to find “my” style.

I wanted to use natural light since the sun was shining with some clouds.  I am becoming more and more convince that I prefer off-camera flash.

Lance – Senior 2011

I’m playing with a new program called PhotoTools 2.5.  This program makes some post processing techniques a lot easier.  It is a Photoshop CS 5 plugin and works in sync with Photoshop.  It has over 200 different processes to experiment with.

I also added a scratch layer in Photoshop.  I am trying to improve my processing and also find “my” style.

Lighting was with one of my Vivitar 283 flashes on a light stand.  The wind was blowing a bit to hard for me to use my shoot-through umbrella, so it’s bare, throwing some hard light on Lance.  I think this kind of lighting better suits Lance.  Flash was on camera left.
